University of Nevada, Reno Receives $300,000 to Reduce Sexual Assault, Dating and Domestic Violence, and Stalking

RENO—March 16, 2016

The University of Nevada, Reno is pleased to announce that it has received a grant totaling $300,000 from the Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women “Grants to Reduce Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, and Stalking on Campus Program.” The grant will allow the University to develop and expand outreach and education on sexual violence to students across the campus, establish a bystander intervention program, and promote training and coordination among services, such as student services, University and local law enforcement, and campus and community victim service providers to better meet the needs of students who are affected by sexual violence.
